A few years ago, I sat across the table from a new friend, Chris Thornton.  Chris shared his story, how he’d traveled with a small group to Uganda, how he’d been connected to a local church in Jinja, how the pastor was struggling to provide for the orphans and widows of the community.  Chris shared the children’s stories, his joy brimming over.  He came home, life interrupted, knowing that he had to HELP.  So Chris started a grassroots sponsorship movement and traveled from church to church.  He asked the local community to join him in an effort to obtain the funds necessary to provide food, clothing, and water for the children who had left an indellible mark on him.

That grassroots sponsorship program has now joined with HELP, and I have the privelege of asking you to join my friend Chris Thornton in providing for the children of that small village.  And if the call of Jinja doesn’t resonate, consider sponsoring some of the children from the other regions of the world.

Consider HELPing.

Consider the process of being interrupted.
